CBS Outdoor Ireland Showcase POLO "SUCKER OR CRUNCHER" Campaign

Nestlé’s POLO Mints has embarked on an engaging advertising campaign to celebrate 60 years of confectionary history.  The campaign, “Are you a Sucker or a Cruncher?” inter-acts with consumers using a selection of innovative builds from the Excite Team at CBS Outdoor.  The specially built advertising display units allow consumers to vote for their preferred POLO eating method.  CBS have also produced a media first in Ireland with a Motion Sensor Dispenser, built into the PurchasePoint unit, which detects movement and distributes POLO samples through an inbuilt dispenser. 
 “We’re really excited about igniting the POLO sucking vs. crunching debate among target consumers with our biggest campaign for ten years”, said Caroline Burton, Consumer Category Manager Nestlé Ireland.

“The campaign will reinvigorate the brand through its communication with the nation’s mint eaters and after much internal debate it will be interesting to see the nation’s preference. POLO eaters habitually belong to one camp or the other, so it’s a simple campaign that all consumers can get really interactive with.”

The “Are you a Sucker or a Cruncher” campaign can be seen at shopping centres in Cornelscourt, Blanchardstown, ILAC Centre. Merrion Centre, Clarehall, the Square in Tallaght and Bridgewater Arklow.  The campaign was developed and devised by DDFH&B, Mindshare and Source.
